POSITION SUMMARY 

  

The Director- Surgical Sales 

is responsible for the business results in the Region by providing sales leadership, coaching, surgical strategy and go to market approach, in region.  They will be responsible to achieve financial goals for the Region through growing revenue from sales to new and existing accounts.  The DSS will provide the leadership to execute the territory planning process and the coaching to embrace the professional selling skills tools.

 

The scope

 of responsibility includes market potential of $10 million per year, with leadership over six to eight Specialists.  

 

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Work with Finance and Sales to establish target growth and revenue goals.  

Establish, manage, and review sales results, and assessment of market opportunities to meet objectives for new sales and customer retention.  

Develop and maintain working relationships including liaison role with Corporate leadership on GTM, Operations, and Agiliti regional sales and operations counterparts to create an environment that promotes teamwork and cultural continuity.      

Build and leverage strong relationships with key customers to fully understand their business needs to develop a “trusted adviser” status.  

Know first-hand and meet on a regular basis the top 25 customers in the Region.  

Responsible for meeting or exceeding sales quota objectives and operating within the Region cost, expense, revenue, and profit objectives  

Interface with other divisional managers, corporate management, clients and sales personnel within Agiliti and Surgical Services  

Participate with team on customer calls at “high value” accounts to ensure that Agiliti is exceeding customer expectations and performance objectives.  

Ensure that Territory Planning contains current information on revenue potential, close probability, etc. for all prospects.  

Improve and refine processes to increase sales, gain operational efficiencies and reduce cost.  

Demonstrates proficient leadership skills that motivate employees and builds competent teams.  

Demonstrates the leadership to inspire others by modeling a positive commitment to the business, peers, other departments, direct reports, and clients.  

Ensure timeliness of Region-wide performance appraisals.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

5-7 years sales management experience. (focus on Surgical Solutions)  

5-7 years healthcare, hospital industry, medical equipment, sales and services required.  

Advanced degree preferred.  

40-50% travel  

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

Operating Room experience and expertise.  

Problem solver. 

Performs under time constraints in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency.   

Maintains 

communication with other departments within organization to ensure timely and accurate recording of accounting events.

  

Strives 

for constant improvement of department efficiencies as well as utilization of financial systems.

  

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  

Time management and organizational skills.

This range represents the low and high ends of the Agiliti pay range for this position. This base pay range information is based on the market locations shown.
