Job Description

 

Position Summary

The Chief Well-being Officer (CWO) plays a pivotal role in this commitment by creating a thriving workplace that aligns individual purpose with EY’s organizational purpose and strategy.

Essential Functions of the job

Well-being and Employee Experience Strategy Develop and execute a holistic well-being strategy that supports physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being across all levels of the organization. Ensuring well-being initiatives such as “Thrive Time” deliver exceptional employee experience, well-being, engagement, belonging and workload optimization to help employees balance their lives. Purpose Alignment Develop frameworks to help employees discover and align their individual purpose with EY’s organizational purpose. Lead programs and communications that connect employees’ day-to-day work to the firm’s vision and values, inspiring a sense of fulfilment and belonging. Integrate EY Ripples into the well-being strategy to amplify the impact of purpose-driven volunteering on employees and communities. Enhance communication & Belonging Design effective channels of communication to enhance connect & belonging. Develop and implement “Counselling Families” as a channel for high touch leadership connect. Work with communications team to ensure employee-oriented talent messaging.

 

Exceptional Employee Experience

Drive strategies that provide a seamless and extraordinary employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. Analyse and action on employee satisfaction surveys feedback and ensure action planning in concern areas,

 

Sunshine Clubs and Passion Programs

Promote and expand EY’s Sunshine Clubs, enabling employees to pursue their passions in areas like arts, sports, fitness, and hobbies. Foster engagement through club activities that build camaraderie, spark creativity, and support holistic well-being.

 

Leadership Behaviours and Guardrails

Define and champion behavioural guardrails for managers to deliver supportive, respectful, and empowering leadership experiences. Equip managers with tools, training, and resources to foster trust, engagement, and positive team dynamics. Partner with Talent Team to monitor and enhance employee-manager interactions, ensuring alignment with EY’s values and leadership principles.

 

Fatigue and Resilience Management

Proactively address employee fatigue and burnout through initiatives that improve workload management and resilience. Implement systems to monitor Vitality index, identify hotspots, and recommend targeted interventions. Promote a culture of thriving through awareness campaigns, well-being resources, and sustainable working practices.

 

Collaboration and Influence

Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, embedding well-being, purpose alignment, and exceptional employee experience into organizational decision-making. Collaborate with talent, business leaders, and operations teams to integrate well-being initiatives into the firm’s broader talent strategies. Represent EY in external forums, positioning the firm as a leader in workplace well-being and exceptional employee experience.

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities

Problem solving will be crucial for this role to effectively address and overcome challenges related to employee wellness. Analytical thinking- to analyze health and wellbeing related data/ stats, related ExEx scores and employee pulse to identify trends and issues. Decision-Making: Making informed decisions about wellness strategies.

 

Education & Experience

Master’s degree in human resources, Organizational Psychology or Business Administration. 18+ years of experience in employee engagement or HR leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity. Demonstrated success in purpose-driven initiatives, employee engagement programs, or large-scale cultural transformation.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

Proven ability to design and execute well-being strategies that align with organizational purpose and values. Strong expertise in managing large-scale cultural transformation and fostering meaningful employee experiences. Exceptional leadership and influencing skills to drive engagement across diverse teams and geographies. Experience in employee engagement frameworks, purpose alignment strategies, and workload optimization initiatives. A creative and innovative mindset to lead passion-driven initiatives like Sunshine Clubs and volunteering programs.
