**Responsibilities**
This position provides oversight and control of the third party risk management process for Mayo Clinic. The Director will act as a role model for staff and will coach as well as actively lead the development of effective risk management strategies and ensure execution. This individual is an expert in change management and work to sustain stakeholder engagement. The Director will support, develop and participate in drafting short-term tactics and long range plans that result in optimal third party risk management performance. This Director must also take an active Mayo enterprise and Risk Management role with physician and executive leadership. In addition, they serve as the primary third party risk management interface on all enterprise and risk management functions pertaining to the products and supplies assigned to their work unit. The Director actively participates in the standardization/risk analysis process, in providing customer service to end-users, in risk analysis and in business reviews for agreements and supplier partnerships. This position will be responsible for managing and adhering to operating budget, as well as understanding and contributing to meeting targets and plans for the overall Risk budget.

**Qualifications**
A four-year undergraduate degree in risk management, business or a related field is a minimum requirement, along with 10+ years of risk, finance, supply chain, or legal experience. Must have broad risk management experience as well as experience with business process standardization and performance improvement strategies. Work experience in a hospital, a multihospital system or other healthcare related setting is required.
A Master's degree is desirable. In addition to the 10+ years minimum experience, at least five years’ experience in progressively responsible management positions in legal, risk, finance or supply chain management is highly desirable. Working knowledge of . Experience in another industry is viewed positively, particularly in an industry that is viewed as world-class risk management.
Certification in risk management is preferred. Advanced certification in healthcare desirable.

**Compensation Detail**
$156,166.40 - $226,449.60 / year. Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
