**Description**
American Express Company seeks Directors, Risk Management to maintain and evolve the risk appetite framework, monitoring key risk metrics, conducting root cause analysis in cases of escalations, reporting key insights to senior leadership. Leverage quantitative analytics to investigate emerging risks and their business impact, as well as identifying opportunities for independent analytical projects to uncover business insights. Engage in quantitative evaluation of various risk types and their practical application. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to provide overall risk assessment. Maintain a framework for risk management input in incentive compensation.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with risk management and risk analysis. Experience must include: 2 years of experience with statistical and econometric methods, including linear and logistic regression models, panel data, simulation, time series, and variance analysis; 2 years of experience with business cycle analysis, macroeconomic forecasting, model validation, stress testing, and survey research; 2 years of experience with credit risk data analysis from internal credit sources, source systems, and data management processes; 2 years of experience with regulatory audit strategies; 2 years of experience with gap analysis and SWOT studies; and 2 years of experience with data analysis using Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SPSS, Stata, MATLAB, SQL, and Teradata. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.

**Qualifications**
Salary Range: $139,922.00 to $205,000.00 annually
