Disassembler I

SUMMARY Disassemblers are responsible for taking apart various types of landing gears and components in accordance with AAR and OHM requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Must have basic tools. Handling of non-toxic and toxic chemicals and/or substances. Must be willing to work overtime to meet deadlines. Disassemble connectors, conduits in order to make sure they are able to be overhauled. Disassembler Levels: Level I - no previous landing gear experience. Shadows a Disassembler III for a few weeks to learn disassembling the different gears and in order to become familiar with the different components. Level II - 1-2 years of disassembling experience. Should be able to disassemble most gears with little or no supervision. Read and comprehend MTFs and assembly procedures. Level III - 2-3 years of experience in disassembling landing gears. Be able to disassemble gears with no supervision. Perform all tasks in the disassembly procedures. Familiar with all different type of landing gears. Train and assist new hires.

NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES Have working knowledge of technical specifications in order to meet Quality Control requirements as stated in the AAR Quality Procedures Manual (QPM), Component Maintenance Manual (CMM), Overhaul Manual (OHM), Service Bulletins (SB), and Airworthiness Directives (AD) specifications and/or customer requirements. All other duties as assigned.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Proficient in the use of precision measuring equipment - Basic computer skills

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training.
