Disbursement Agent

Tetra Tech is searching for a Disbursement Agent. This position works directly with Lenders, Borrowers and General Contractors to ensure the appropriate distribution of funds for construction projects.  Including, coordinating inspections, verifying percentage of completion through backup documentation from subcontractors and suppliers, collecting invoices and lien waivers, title endorsements if applicable, owner authorization of disbursements and coordinating with the lender on the release of funds.

Responsibilities:  

•    Draw Processing
•    Collecting and verifying required documentation
•    Coordination of ordering inspections
•    Collecting required authorizations as draw approval
•    Collecting W9’s from eligible 1099 subs/supplier

Qualifications & Requirements:

•    Must have Microsoft Office knowledge and be proficient with Excel.  
•    Excellent communication skills.  
•    Must be multi-task oriented and able to organize and prioritize his/her workload.  Must have a flexible disposition in order to work effectively with a variety of personality types.  
•    Must be able to learn quickly and be adaptable to a variety of situations.  
•    Must be able to both give and follow directions in order to accomplish not only the above described duties and tasks, but also any others that may be assigned.

Education & Experience:  

•    High School Diploma or equivalent required.  Associates Degree in Business preferred.
•    Minimum of two years’ related experience preferred.  

Physical Demands: 
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.  The majority of the employee’s time will be spent doing computer work; the physical demands of such work are expected.  The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.  Specific vision abilities and demands of this job include consistent computer monitor viewing, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: 
The noise level and temperature in the work environment are those of a typical office setting.

Language & Communication Skills: 
Must be fluent in the English language, speaking, writing, and reading.  Strong ability to speak and communicate effectively with coworkers throughout the organization. 

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts such as arithmetic calculations.

Other Skills:  
Must have Microsoft Office knowledge and be proficient with keyboard and 10 key.
