Dish Machine Operator (DMO)

Summary/Objective

As a representative for our company, you will be responsible for ensuring that dishes and cooking equipment are washed, rinsed, sanitized, and put away properly in our kitchen and café.

 

Essential Functions (subject to change with proper notice)

Sets up and maintains dish machine and all necessary equipment Sets up and maintains three-compartment sink in the dish room Washes, rinse and sanitizes all dishes, food cooking equipment and supplies by using the dish machine or three-compartment sink Responsible for keeping dishes and equipment separated by department Properly dries dishes on drying rack before putting them away Responsible for removing and disposing of garbage, recycle and compost from the dish room Polishes Silverware, bowls, plates, cups, mugs, etc. Gathers bus tubs with dirty dishes from the café area and washes all items Assists with prep projects as assigned or instructed Assist with all cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing any items per instruction from Lead Cook, Prep Lead, Jr. Sous, or Sous Chef Removes all mats from all preparation and service areas To project a positive and motivated attitude amongst all Team Members

Knowledge and Skills

This is an entry-level position, however, experience in a high-volume kitchen is a plus Sense of urgency and ability to work with a team in a safe manner
