The Dishwasher shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This position’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff, wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and all other cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssume responsibility for the cleanliness of all dishwareLoad, run and unload dish machineKeep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to their 1st level supervisorMonitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycleWash and store all tableware and kitchenwareKeep dish room clean and organizedMaintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchenBag and haul kitchen trash to dumpsterHandle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and lossMaintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning suppliesClean food preparation and production areas as required

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAttends all scheduled employee meetingsPerforms other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Food & Beverage DirectorSupport safe work habits and a safe working environment at all timesEnsure a safe working environment and attitude on the part of all employees in areas of responsibility

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCEBelief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team membersMust be able to work unsupervisedMust be able to communicate clearly with Chefs and dining room personnelBe willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environmentNo previous Dishwashing experience requiredMust adhere to the handbooks from both the Navigators and Glen Eyrie at all time

Compensation Range: $13.65-14.75/hour
