Summary

Job Description:

The Food Services Dishwasher - Utility Worker is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all cutlery, glassware, food machines, etc. It is essential that the dishwasher maintain the dishwashing stations in a pristine and safe manner to ensure patient safety.

 

Job Specific Duties:

Ensures all department dishes, glassware, cooking utensils are clean, sanitized and properly stored. Ensures that there are always clean dishes, glasses, and utensils ready for use. Ensures that the water in the dishwasher is replaced on an hourly basis. Removes trash and garbage from the restaurant. Responsible for rolling/unrolling mats in order to clean floors. Maintains a clean and organized workspace, ensure proper sanitation, and use proper safety and cleanliness standards. Maintains daily HACCP logs. Unload and organize storeroom stock as needed. Follows established department standards of safety in food preparation, service, cleaning, maintenance of
equipment and maintains personal safety. Responsible for immediately alerting management of any equipment issues or failures. Consistently reports to work, follows all time clock procedures. Follows all proper policies and procedures.

 

Minimum Experience Required

Minimum of six (6) months previous experience in food production and service. Work experience in non-food service businesses may be substituted where applicable with regards to quantity production and/or customer service environments. Ability to follow oral/written instructions and communicate effectively (speaking and reading) in English. HS Diploma **1 (one) additional year of experience in Food Services/customer will be considered in lieu of High School Diploma**
