The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 to January 2026.

This is a full-time 6-month internship located in Orlando, FL and Anaheim, CA.

What You Will Do

The Audio System Design Team is responsible for the development of audio systems that help to tell the stories of our live show offerings including parades, stage shows and special events on and off the Disney property.

We are looking for an experienced individual with an innovative mind-set and a passion for Disney quality and Magical creativity. We are seeking a motivated individual who will ensure that the Disney standards are reflected consistently in all design & technical materials.

Supporting the Audio System Designers in the technical and creative production process, including producing documentation, design intent and audio drawingsUtilizing a variety of programs including AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Q-Sys Designer, SMAART, and speaker prediction softwareAssisting with design and technical researchPartnering with cross-functional teams including designers, safety teams, production teams and facility teamsAssisting with prioritization, organization and problem-solving during installation, and delivery of a variety of projectsAttending and contributing at Disney Live Entertainment seminars and meetings

Required Qualifications & Skills

Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skillsKnowledge of audio technology and equipmentCreative problem-solving skillsAbility to learn new software applications as appropriate.Familiarity with the Entertainment industry and a creative backgroundDemonstrated proficiency with general computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel

Education

Junior, senior or graduate level student pursuing a degree in Theater (technical), or related field

Preferred Education: Earning or completing MFA in Theater (technical) or related field

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramBe compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelinesFully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per weekAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from workPossess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicleAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipAble to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in Florida and California We provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click here
