This is a full-time 6-month internship, and the dates are June 9, 2025, through January 2, 2026. It is located in Anaheim, CA.
What You Will Do
The Costume Production department is responsible for facilitating the manufacturing and maintenance of operational and entertainment costumes across The Walt Disney Company. At Disney, you will partner with Entertainment and Costuming Operations to ensure costume quality and design are consistently maintained.
Interface daily with the Workroom Teams, Costumers, Buyers, Designers, and varying levels of management within the Costuming organizationOther responsibilities include, but are not limited to draping, drafting, patterning, CAD/CAM process, costume construction, fittings, size charts, millinery, and alterationsAttend possible meetingsObserve and assist with fittingsRequired Qualifications & Skills
Proven knowledge of fabrics with an understanding of their relation to design and construction techniquesExperience in the Theater, Film or Apparel IndustryWillingness to learn and work with many different methods of construction that are unique to Creative CostumingProven planning and organizational skills with attention to detailShown experience in CAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, technical design, flat, and sketchesComputer proficiency is strongly encouraged as well as willingness to learn various programsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work well with cross-functional teams and vendorsEducation
Currently a senior, or graduate level student earning a degree in Costume Design Production, Costuming, Clothing, or a related field
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.Be at least 18 years of agePossess unrestricted work authorizationHave not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College ProgramBe compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelinesFully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per weekAble to provide/have reliable transportation to/from workPossess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicleAble to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internshipAble to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in FloridaWe provide limited housing opportunities for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click hereThe pay rate for this role in Anaheim is $19.90 per hour.
