**Description** **ESSENTIAL DUTIES** + Operate safely and compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures + Responsible for the routing, scheduling and dispatching of drivers, equipment and freight loads going out daily/nightly and reporting activities to the Operations group + Ensure that all container numbers, times and dates are received from drivers and enter into the dispatch system + Verify customer invoicing and rating + Provides excellent customer service on the phone and when arranging for pick-ups and delivers + Communicates with dispatch at various customer sites to coordinate the movement of freight + Assist customers with setting appointments and with other issues at locations + Support the safe operation of all trucks, drivers and related trucking operations + Performs administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest shipments for trailers, create freight bills, trace shipments, etc. + Support 100% compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, Federal, State and WISHA + Prepare a variety of reports for operations, customers and for internal use + May assist with trucking and warehouse operations, as needed + Conduct driver employee reviews + Assist human resources with counseling statements + May lead tool box meetings + May approve Driver time sheets, hourly pay review and approval + Supervise Drivers and provide mentorship + Specialty oversight applicable to terminal location + Equipment control when spotting, staging , transferring equipment between terminals, to include scheduling R&M with the shop + Perform other duties as assigned **QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)** + High school diploma or GED + Minimum of two years transportation / dispatch experience **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES** + Sound understanding of DOT regulations, HazMat and OTR experience preferred + Proficient use of MS Office Suite including Word, Outlook and Excel + Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills + Ability to multi-task and prioritize and exhibit team players attitude + High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations + Demonstrate poise, tact and diplomacy **Benefits** At Carlile Transportation, we understand the importance of fostering a comprehensive and supportive benefits package to enhance the overall well-being of our valued employees.
