A staffing agency is looking for a Dispatcher to coordinate driver assignments for a client in Oakland, CA. The Dispatcher will be responsible for scheduling and tracking drivers, ensuring on-time deliveries, and providing real-time updates. This role requires excellent multitasking abilities, clear communication skills, and a high level of comfort with coordinating logistics in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates with a background in transportation, logistics, or call center experience are preferred, as they will be well-equipped to handle the demands of dispatching drivers efficiently.

Key Responsibilities: Coordinate driver assignments, dispatching drivers for timely pick-ups and deliveries. Communicate route and schedule changes to drivers, addressing any issues or delays. Monitor driver progress and adjust routes or schedules as necessary to optimize efficiency. Maintain accurate records in the dispatch system, logging driver locations, ETA, and load information. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and client representatives, resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with the recruiting and client teams to understand and meet staffing needs. Qualifications: Prior experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or a high-volume call center environment preferred. Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask under pressure. Excellent communication skills, with a clear and friendly phone presence. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and remain calm in high-pressure situations. Proficiency in dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, or related technology is a plus.
