Our_ **Dispatchers** _strive for integrity and reliability, while building trusting relationships with team members._ **What you bring to the table** + In the case of a vehicle accident or driver injury,the dispatcher must notify themanager/supervisor in charge and the safety specialist ASAP. + Coordinate driver activities to minimize hours of service violations. + Verify that drivers are using Omnitracs properly. + Assign backhauls as needed to be done in the most efficient manner possible. + Coordinate trailer and tractor assignments. + Communicate to the sales force and operations management if there are any concernsregardingservice issues that may arisein the event ofa late dispatch,breakdownor other service failure. + Reassign routes as needed. + Visually inspect each driver's appearance to verify that drivers are in proper uniform and haverequiredPPE (Personal Protective Equipment). + Coordinate shuttle assignments to minimize downtime and overtime. + Complete Attendance Reports. + Distribute intercompany mail to sales force. + Other duties as assigned by management. **What you bring to the table** Education/Training: + High School Diploma/GEDrequired Related Experience/Requirements: + Must have working knowledge ofDOT (Department of Transportation)regulations and driver's logs. + Must be organized and detailed; and have legible handwriting. + Must be able to manage several things at once. + Must have (2) years transportation experience + CDL A preferred **We** **help** **you make it!** **US FOODS®** is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promotion from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.  Your efforts as a **Dispatcher** are the foundation that defines **US FOODS®** success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. **BECOME A** **US FOODS®** **TEAM MEMBER!** _Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
