Dispatcher

Job Summary: The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily operations of field service personnel in the utilities industry. This role ensures efficient scheduling, dispatching, and communication to maintain optimal service levels and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and Dispatch: Coordinate and schedule field service technicians for routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and installations.Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between field personnel and the operations center, ensuring clear and timely communication.Monitor Operations: Track the status of field activities and update schedules as needed to accommodate changes or emergencies.Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and provide updates on service requests, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.Data Management: Maintain accurate records of service calls, work orders, and technician assignments in the dispatch system.Problem Solving: Quickly assess and resolve scheduling conflicts, equipment issues, and other operational challenges.Compliance: Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training preferred.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching, preferably in the utilities or related industry.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in dispatch software and other relevant computer applications.Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.Certifications: Relevant certifications in dispatching or utilities operations are a plus.

Working Conditions:

Environment: Office-based with occasional field visits.Hours: Full-time, with potential for on-call or overtime work during emergencies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.94 - $29.94/hr.
