What Pharmacy Services & Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health

Responsible for the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. Prepares doses for shipment, prepares cases, wipes doses, and loads and unloads containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Schedule

40 hours per week. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 1:30a to 9:30a. and rotating every 4th weekend. Candidate must be flexible to work different days, hours and schedules based on business need.

Anticipated Hourly Range: $18.00 per hour - $21.00 per hour

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Responsibilities

Processes incoming packages for pharmacy usePerforms equipment checks for daily useAssigns delivery routes to drivers and makes adjustments as neededPrepares and makes deliveries to customer accounts on assigned route using a company vehicle (non-cdl)Packages radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, performs testing, and loads/unloads containersUses a handheld tablet to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information and navigationProcesses packages returned from customer locationsMaintains vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairsPerforms general facility cleaning and other duties as required

  Qualifications

High school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferredMust hold a valid driver's license and have a good driving recordMinimum of 18 years of age due to driving of company owned vehiclePrior dispatching and delivery driving experience a plusAbility to lift containers weighing up to 75 poundsComfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hoursAbility to sit, stand, be mobile and operate a vehicle for extended periods of timeStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to work weekends or be in a weekend rotation requiredAbility to work holidays or be in a holiday rotation requiredAbility to work on call or be in an on-call rotation requiredFlexibility to work various shifts or overtime as neededAbility to use computers and tablets
