**Overview**

_Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The Emergency Medical Services Department is charged with the delivery, management and transport of patients involved in traumatic and medical emergencies.
**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
Facilitates the dispatching, documentation, scheduling and monitoring of emergency and non-emergency EMS assignments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Dispatches Emergency Medical Service assignments.
+ Records all requests for Emergency Medical Service according to departmental processes.
+ Monitors Emergency Medical Service System status and utilizes departmental mobile resources.
+ Updates the computer aided dispatching system to reflect the status of the emergency medical service system.
+ Notifies applicable agencies when transport responses take place in that agency's jurisdiction.
**Minimum Requirements**
**Education**
+ High School Diploma or GED
**Experience**
+ <2 years
**Supervisor Experience**
+ < 2 years
**Preferred Requirements**
**Education**
+ Associate's Degree - Emergency Med Services (EMS)
**Licenses & Certifications**
+ EMD/EMT Training
