Job Title: Dispatcher/Logistics Job Description You will provide responses to customer inquiries including pick-ups, schedules, and product orders, and dispatch vehicles on pre-set routes for each CSR daily. You will assist walk-in customers as needed, manage routine handheld/printer availability and operations, and build and print daily routes for drivers, including preparing shipping documents, route sheets, and barcode labels. You will also dispatch drivers for extra or missed pick-ups, ensure that routes are balanced, assist Customer Service with customer requests, route changes, and rescheduling for pickups/missed stops, and monitor operations and work of all Customer Service Reps. Additional responsibilities include monitoring and escalating CIC’s to the supervisor, reviewing driver paperwork (VCR and logbook), filing paperwork, debriefing drivers in accordance with written SOPs, completing consolidated manifests for trailer shipments, forwarding VCR reports to the Transportation Supervisor/Manager for maintenance requests, assisting drivers with any problems/issues that arise, creating load sheets, preparing reviews, stamping all manifests, tracking and inputting DOT hours, and updating SAP data. You will also monitor company policies and procedures, communicate to staff as necessary, oversee and participate in the maintenance of DOT Log Files and Vehicle Condition Reports for all CSRs and equipment, ensure DOT Logs and VCR logs are accurate and complete, and maintain DOT files and download PDTs. In the absence of a manager/supervisor, you will monitor and ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in NA, CA. Work Environment Trailer parked on a field. Can be dirty. Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Jeans and closed-toe shoes required.
