Dispatcher Transdev in Medford, MA is hiring a Dispatcher. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. + Competitive compensation package of minimum Minimum $21 – Maximum $24 Benefits may vary depending on location policy. Responsibilities: + Managing run pullouts and openings and closing runs in the ADEPT system (or other designated Dispatch & Scheduling system)  + Recording late pullouts, uncovered driver callouts, and closed routes  + Working with service provider window dispatchers to pullout runs as scheduled and/or to obtain additional resources and capacity as needed  + Pro-actively managing runs to maintain service performance standards  + Reassigning trips between runs in a timely way, as needed  + Assigning trips on the wait-list to runs far enough ahead for them to be performed on-time  + Responding to driver requests for assistance  + Managing incidents and accidents in accordance with established policies and procedures  + Recoding denials if necessary + Other duties as assigned + Must be able to work onsite at our call center in Medford, MA Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED. + 3 of experience of dispatch within the paratransit industry.  Prior experience as a paratransit driver is a plus.  + Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and with paratransit scheduling software and the ability to learn new software + Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.  Physical Requirements: + Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed. + Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities + Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer. + The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
