Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Respond to telephone requests and assign staff to perform services on established priority basis.Prioritize requests and change priority of requests to ensure timely response.Monitor activities during transport to ensure transporters move from dispatches to completion in a timely manner.Inform supervisor of activity level when additional support is needed and assists with resolution of those issues.Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, objectives regarding safety and infection control.

 

Complexity of Work:

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

 

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Prior patient transportation experience preferredPrior leadership experience preferred
