**Job Title: Distillation Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Distillation Operator to manage and maintain distillation units, ensuring peak efficiency and compliance with recovery specifications. This role involves handling hazardous materials, performing laboratory analyses, and maintaining operational logs. **Responsibilities** + Connect feed, product, and sludge tanks to distillation units and apply proper amounts of heat from boilers. + Maintain operating hourly logs to ensure units operate at peak efficiency. + Charge and discharge pot stills with appropriate gallon amounts of liquid to meet product specifications. + Perform compatibility testing on hazardous materials to ensure compliance with recovery specifications. + Retrieve clean tank recovery samples and route them to the laboratory with appropriate paperwork to ascertain quality. + Load, unload, and sample bulk tankers and/or drums to verify the accuracy of hazardous material contents before applying the recovery process while wearing PPE. + Operate and maintain all equipment professionally to ensure optimal efficiency and timely project completion. + Perform basic laboratory production duties such as GC FID analysis, moisture analysis, APHA (color), and peroxides. + Load clean products and complete all associated paperwork. **Essential Skills** + Chemical handling + Batch mixing + Distillation processes + OSHA 40-hour certification + Compounding **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a Batch Operator/Mixing + Compounding experience **Why Work Here?** + Opportunities for advancement + Great job security with many employees having over 10 years of tenure + Full benefits upon onboarding + Company invests in employees' certifications and training **Work Environment** + Outdoors + Handling hazardous chemicals **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to hire position based out of Middlesex, New Jersey. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
