Job Title: Distillation Technician
Job Description

As a Distillation Technician, you will operate and oversee equipment used in the distillation process, including the distillation of target compounds and batches from specified raw materials. You will be responsible for temperature checking, completing batch records per GMP and SOPs, performing product inspections, providing samples for quality control testing, and recording various data points. You will also use a computer system to input data into the tracking system and comply with best practices and standard operating procedures while continuously working on process improvements.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and oversee distillation equipment for target compounds and batch production from specified raw materials.Check temperatures and complete batch records in compliance with GMP and SOPs.Perform product inspections and provide samples for quality control testing.Record various data points as required.Use computer systems to input data into the tracking system.Comply with best practices and standard operating procedures.Continuously work on improving processes.Essential SkillsExperience in distillation, purification, and compounding.Knowledge of fractional distillation, steam distillation, and batch making.Experience in chemical handling, mixing, and laboratory procedures.Ability to perform calculations and record data accurately.Computer proficiency for data entry and tracking.Minimum of a High School degree with solid attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to learn unique and detail-specific processes.Flexibility to work different shifts as required.Previous experience in a GMP environment is preferred.Comfortable working with expensive ingredients.Work Environment

This role requires independent work in a manufacturing-type setting where attention to detail is critical. You will need to input information and data into an internal tracking system and handle expensive ingredients with care. The work environment is casual, with employees typically wearing jeans and a t-shirt. The company culture is family-owned, with a 'work hard, play hard' attitude and straightforward communication at various levels. The hours for this position are from 7pm to 3:00am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00
