About the Role:
Reporting to Atreyu Site Lead (distillation). The shift distillery lead is responsible for handling all aspects of Tequila production in a benchmark manufacturing facility and will handle a shift of operational personal. We are looking for 4 distillery lead's who will handle both traditional and modern production processes end to end (ovens, milling, hydrolysis, pot distillation, diffuser, continuous distillation columns). Will be responsible for growing and developing leadership and functional capabilities within your team. The job holder will work as part of a 4-person distillery leadership team providing 24/7 365 day cover as part of a shift rota.
Ensure all risk, quality, service and cost critical metrics are met or exceeded through rigorous focus on performance management and demonstrable commitment to prompt and thorough execution of RCPS processes.
Play a key role in promoting and delivering against the risk and compliance agenda and will be responsible for your area. You will have a full understanding on your environmental impact, the triggers, and corrective actions.
Shared responsibility of an operational budget per annum and will put forward recommendations for capex investment within their area of responsibility. You will drive execution and delivery of these projects. This includes driving any change or innovation in our processes.

Be a champion in LOTO, developing and embedding a new isolation philosophy with HSE manager for your process area.
Core Activities:
Meet the goals established in the process areas: volume of tequila produced, efficiencies, yields, consumption.
Develop the monthly agave requirement program in conjunction with the area management.
Receive the agave and verify that it meets the established specifications and contains the complete vital documentation.
Rate the characteristics of the agave that enters the plant.
Coordinate staff to complete tasks, as well as granting and scheduling vacations.
Verify that each of the stages of the process aligns with the established specifications.
Deliver the produced tequila to the aging area in a timely manner.
Align with the general cleaning program established for the plant (5S's).
Conduct daily, weekly and annual inventories.
Upload the information to relevant systems and update Verifica in the processes section, as well as generate requests for tequila transfers.
Conduct monthly closings with CRT personnel.
Submit the documents required by the CRT verification unit.
Deliver monthly closing reports to production management.
Report equipment failures and other requirements to the maintenance area.
Review and update of documents (procedures, instructions, formats) related to the processes.
Provide required training to staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educated to degree level, preferably within an Engineering or Science subject area.
Experience or relevant qualifications relating to Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / Manufacturing Excellence is desirable
Natural leaders with a record in leading a high performing team
At least 3 years’ experience in production management. Ideally in a FMCG manufacturing environment.
Ability to lead people performance, coaching and development of a multi-disciplined team
Experience in developing effective working relationships with partners and working in partnership with other teams
Experience of working in a challenging quality & customer focused FMCG environment.
Basic financial awareness, understanding of business drivers, budgeting processes.
Standard business (MS Office) and Diageo packages.4. Being an effective influencer and excellent communicator you will be able to set out strategy and aspirations in a way that others will follow and support.
Qualifications in safety preferred.
English and Spanish skills.
