The Distribution Analyst will be responsible to collaborate with key business stakeholders to carry out technology strategies and find solutions for business needs. This role is instrumental in facilitating business involvement, decision making, and coordination of business resources to deliver and implement high quality projects and prepare business area for changes impacting their areas. The Distribution Analyst acts as the liaison in understanding a business customer's information or process needs. **What You’ll Work On** + Collaborates and provides data to assist with distribution operational decisions to support some or all of the following initiatives: Reduce inventory levels without decreasing customer service levels – optimization and capacity for the warehouse. Facilitates meetings with the business to elicit, analyze and document detailed business requirements. Improve asset management. + Extracts data from ERP/WMS system to create various excel spreadsheets used to identify inventory management, expired inventory, stock rotation initiatives and other inventory/stocking issues. + Ensures the accuracy and completeness of the information that is entered in the ERP system. + Maps current processes to the desired state and identifies gaps such as program functions, output requirements, input requirements and sources, data conversion strategies, and system techniques and controls. + Prepares, summarizes, and submits data accuracy, delivery performance and other key metrics to assess performance, modify production plans and assess/prioritize focused improvements efforts. + Publishes pre-established KPI’s as required for all inventory related metrics including forecast accuracy, DIOH, scrap reporting, line order fill rate, stock level and PD delivery performance. + Communicates effectively with management to enhance their understanding of the opportunities and limitations of information systems. + Identifies and participates in process improvement projects that improve customer service levels, improve product flows, minimize supply chain costs, and improve asset management. + Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. + Maintains inventory accuracy by monitoring out of balance conditions, short picks, and incomplete transactions and then determining /executing the corrective transactions to correct issues. + Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Project Gemini Manhattan WMS, SAP and other regulatory requirements. + Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaborations with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors. + Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned. + Process expert in the ERP/WMS transactions for receiving, stocking, raw material picking, and sales order fulfillment. + Works as a resource to correct materials process issues on a time sensitive basis to ensure customer commitments are met. Establishes metrics for inventory accuracy and creates methods to gather and process raw data to produce those metrics. + Uses transactional knowledge and ingenuity to develop process improvements and new business tactics and applies knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/ Warehouse Management System (WMS) to bring those process improvements to fruition. + Completes duties within a tightly controlled quality environment that promotes continuous improvement and adherence to published operating procedures. **EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING** **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. + Min 1-2 years of experience in a related field. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross-division business unit model preferred. + Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment. + Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. + Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in timely manner. **Learn more about our benefits that add real value to your life to help you live fully:** http://www.abbottbenefits.com/pages/candidate.aspx .
