Your Role

 

The Distribution Associate 1 at MilliporeSigma in Sheboygan Falls will complete the following tasks on a daily basis:

 

Receive material from outside vendorsSelect orders for processingVerify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special request information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructionsPrint and apply all required labels and markings to boxes and pack hazardous items for shipment to customer following established procedures and instructions while complying with hazard regulationsPrepare materials for shipment, verify that all appropriate markings and labels are present on packages to comply with company procedures and DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations, making corrections when necessaryScan or meter products into the shipping systemAccurately document all movement of materialsUse a powered pallet jack and manual material handling equipmentPerform defined audit tasks with guidanceCondense, straighten, and maintain warehouse and dock areasReport unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or member of managementMiscellaneous duties, projects, and tasks as assignedFollow good distribution practices (GDP)Shift/hours: 1st shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, M-F

 

Physical Attributes:

 

Wear appropriate protective gear, (hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes) and other personal protection equipment "PPE" to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals in the forms of liquids, solids, vapors or airborne particlesSit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawlLift and move up to 50 pounds unassistedMove more than 50 pounds with assistanceClose vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjust focusRegular use of phones, computers, office equipment, and laboratory equipment

 

Who You Are

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma or GED

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

1+ year of work experience in a warehouse environment Knowledge of shipping regulations Experience working with hazardous materialsExcellent communication skills and attention to detail Adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
