Distribution Center Maintenance Manager
Position summary Responsible for managing maintenance and repair on equipment, machinery, powered industrial equipment, electrical power systems and control, building, grounds and building systems to insure uninterrupted services and operations. Develops and maintains cost-effective procedures for repairing and maintaining all equipment to maintain high productivity standards. Manages, trains and coaches’ the maintenance staff. Performs other related duties as required. Position Responsibilities: Schedule weekly preventive maintenance work orders (approx.. 100 per week). Adjust to add corrective work orders (unscheduled) as they happen. Coordinate outside services as needed. Reassign mechanics as needs change. Inspecting on going PMWO, corrective work and identifying future projects/problems, coordinating with other managers for work orders and outside services. Reacts to special requests. Maintaining Records, PROMM (computerized record system) on all equipment and buildings. Maintain maintenance inventory to include outside consignment, recycling sales, audit files and mandatory state/federal records. Purchasing - needed parts, materials and equipment. Select vendors based on price, quality and product availability. Verify all deliveries, billing and approve payment. Constantly identify new sources. Keep updated on new trends and equipment. Update skills of mechanics and cross train department personnel. Research new equipment, tools, services and trends in maintenance repairs. Better utilization of resources and personnel. Qualifications : At least 5 years of experience in a Maintenance lead position, assisting management with the assignment of work and responsibilities to coworkers, and/or other managerial tasks (e.g., monitoring work, taking attendance, etc.) At least 4 years experience in distribution and/or manufacturing. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) including preventive maintenance system implementation and optimization. Basic level skill in Microsoft Office- Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Willing to work any shift as needed. Able to travel as needed for training and support. Compensation Range: $68,400 to $119,700 Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Automated Control Systems. At least 5 years maintenance experience with computer and programmable logic controller (PLC) based automated material handling manufacturing systems. Experience with Maintenance Inventory Management.
