As a Distribution Clerk, you will work onsite in Springdale, PA, you will oversee the shipping paperwork creation for a facility that ships multimillion dollars’ worth of product annually. You will communicate with carriers as they arrive, create bill of ladings for all domestic outgoing shipments, and support all other activities where needed within the warehouse. You will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Main Responsibilities:
Receive and greet carriers as they arrive to pick up their scheduled shipments directing them to the correct loading dock and assist with lock out procedures.Create bill of ladings for all outgoing domestic and Canada shipments.Create packing slips for all outgoing domestic and Canada shipments.Communicate with carriers daily for domestic and Canada shipments.Create customs invoices for shipments moving to Canada.File necessary paperwork according to the federal regulations.Help the production team on order complexities and correcting pick tickets.Become certified in hazardous shipping federal regulations.Help place tracking information on all outgoing shipments.Use the FedEx small packaging system for shipments.Close daily orders that shipped within the Oracle system.Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferredOne to three years of related transportation experience within a manufacturing/retail warehousing facility preferredStrong customer service, problem solving, issue resolution, and communication skills are requiredOracle, Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams experience preferred, SAP experience a plusAbility to lift up to 50lb on a regular basis.PPG pay ranges and benefits can vary by location which allows us to compensate employees competitively in different geographic markets.
