DISTRIBUTION COORDINATOR I

Key Responsibilities:

Results ownership:  support plant and department OGSM’s and targets in support of greater than 80% Process Reliability.

Support production lines in achieving goals for PR, safety, quality and service.

Actively participate in CI iniatives.

Understand production schedule, customer orders, open orders report, shipping orders, or material purchase schedules to determine items to be moved, received, gathered or distributed.

Coordinate/manage the process for all inbound and outbound freight activity.

Coordinate through Customer Service all outbound shipments and tacking of outbound shipments through various customer portals.

Monitor, track and publish the performance of all inbound and outbound freight lines.

Assist in inventory issues as they arise.

Coordinate recycle process returns.

Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

Mark materials with identifying information.

Tracking down materials and resolving issues with deliveries.

Use computer for data entry and analysis.

Maintain work and storage areas in a clean and orderly fashion.

Daily communication with all team members and management through the use of shift meetings, email, and other written and verbal methods.

Actively promote safety and identify unsafe actions and conditions through the use of a principle-based safety approach.

Work with teams to identify process issues and improvement opportunities.

Overall dock flow coordination.

Other duties as assigned.
