Job Description
As a Distribution Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work both in the field and hybrid remotely. You will be responsible for developing designs for electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical equipment. This includes creating basic data, preliminary layouts, sketches, and notes necessary to present design proposals. You will investigate design factors such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials and equipment, and contractual specifications. Your role will involve coordinating with other organizations affected by design developments and making layouts of complex assemblies. Additionally, you will check completed layouts and drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards and specifications, while identifying and addressing any design errors or deficiencies. Your decisions will impact project schedules, and you will interact daily with supervisors, peer groups, and customers, requiring effective communication and factual information exchange.

Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in WALLED LAKE, MI and some days remote.
Work Environment
You will spend about 10%-20% of your time conducting field inspections and 60%-80% on engineering and development of design packages for construction crews. The remaining time will be dedicated to administrative tasks, planning, and customer follow-up. Expect to spend 2-3 days per week in the office, with other days working remotely.
