We are currently sourcing for a Distribution Engineer with over 5 years of experience working on Centerpoint projects in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of DDS software, pole relocation, and replacement projects.
Responsibilities
+ Design and develop power distribution systems using DDS software.
+ Manage and execute pole relocation and replacement projects.
+ Conduct unit counts and ensure adherence to standards.
+ Understand and apply DOT regulations.
+ Support reconductoring projects.
+ Provide 3+ years of specific support for Centerpoint projects.
+ Utilize AutoCAD for project design and documentation.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of distribution engineering/design engineering experience.
+ Strong understanding of DDS software and Distribution Design Studio.
+ Experience with pole relocations, pole replacements, unit counts, standards, and reconductoring.
+ 3+ years of AutoCAD experience.
+ 3+ years of specific support for Centerpoint projects (ideally 5+ years).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in power delivery, power distribution, and utility design.
+ Proficiency in electrical design and engineering.
+ Knowledge in power and utilities.
Work Environment
The role is based in an office environment with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. The opportunity includes PTO and holidays. The team is growing, and there are opportunities to advance into lead or managerial roles.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
