Job Title: Distribution Design Engineering I

Job DescriptionThis subfamily is responsible for planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systemsWill determine the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development to balance economic, environmental, social, and regulatory constraints and reliability needsDuties may include developing work packages for:Overhead distributionUnderground distributionResidential distribution, Underground cable/conduit field engineeringIdentifying conflicting utilities, performing engineering and design calculations, and conducting post-construction reviewsWill work on day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond your own work area or project team, under supervision on less complex projects or assignments.Solves simple routine technical problems following established procedures and policiesDevelops products solutions processes using basic principles theories and concepts within own technical specialtyCommunicates with peers to explain facts basic analysis processes and practices related to area

QualificationsRequires basic knowledge of and ability to apply principles theories and concepts of narrow technical domainTypical Education Experience: BS degree in relevant engineering, accredited in the United States2 years of relevant experienceMust be local to the Chicago areaJob Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 26 Weekly.
