Job Description
We are seeking to add two experienced Distribution Designers to our utility team in Owings Mills, MD. The ideal candidates will be capable of producing jobs independently with minimal training and will assist in overseeing and developing a group of designers and drafters. This role involves supporting turn-key new business projects with electrical and gas components for BGE & Pepco.
ResponsibilitiesDesign in MicrostationWalk down sites for pictures/field notesCoordinate job status updates with customer and client stakeholdersQuality assurance of work for drafter team/junior designersTraining and development of other draftersEssential SkillsProficiency in MicrostationExperience in distribution design and power distributionKnowledge of electrical systemsAbility to be productive with minimal trainingExperience with turn-key projects, including site visits, customer coordination, and drafting detailsProficiency in Autocad and Microstation InroadsStrong customer service skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's degree (preferred)Experience with BGE projects (preferred)Knowledge of AS8 (Asset Suite 8)Work Environment
The position offers a hybrid work environment, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The office is located in Owings Mills.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr.
