Distribution Engineer
Job Title: Distribution Engineer

Our client is a Fortune 500 company with a fast paced environment revolving around growth. They are dedicated to solving the world's toughest problems. They pride themselves on their top quality work as well as their employee's work life balances. This role would allow you to be one of the first NJ employees who help build this out for the team. You will also be interacting daily with some of the top utility providers in the state.

Job Description

Develop construction work packages for electrical distribution systems, including overhead (OH), underground (UG), and underground residential distribution (URD). Create work packages using GIS and CAD software. Perform engineering calculations such as structural analysis of poles, cable pulling, electrical demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices. Facilitate permit and right-of-way acquisition, estimate project costs, acquire necessary materials, and conduct field investigations.

Work Environment

Work from home (WFH) until an NJ office is established. Daily travel to project sites in northern/central NJ for inspecting distribution lines. Mileage and toll reimbursement provided. Once a NJ office is established, this will be a hybrid role.
