Job Title: Distribution Engineer

Job Description

This position is for a Distribution Engineer to supplement the current service area of Birmingham, AL. The type of projects will have some variance in nature and will include the following types of work: KV conversions, strengthening of tie lines, automation projects, copper wire replacement, and device upgrades. This scope of work is a continuation of capital upgrades and grid modernization programs that have been underway the last several years for the footprint of this utility. Additional responsibilities can include but are not limited to add-ons or growth within customer delivery, establishing power distribution to new businesses and/or facilities in the area along with Joint Use/Share Services support. This position will be contract-based and located in the Metro Division of Birmingham/Trussville.

Work Environment

Work office will be located in Hueytown, AL, spending the majority of the time within the field offices and some trips to the service territory as needed and called for among various projects.
