The Opportunity:
The Distribution Lead is responsible for ensuring that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time. The lead communicates with customers as required and, with the Transportation Department, develops inbound and outbound freight schedules. The lead mentors less-experienced peers and assists supervisors but does not formally supervise others.Highlights of joining our Avantor Team:

What we’re looking for
Education: High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree a plus.
Experience:
1-3 years applicable experience; preferred, lead, shipping/warehouse experience is a plus.
Experience with Hazmat shipping procedures.
Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word), SAP experience is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Willingness to learn tasks from other departments as needed.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be a team player and be able to collaborate with members of the immediate team and employees outside the organization while demonstrating the ability to work independently.
Must be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Possess organization and time management skills.
How you will thrive and create an impact
Verifies required outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring all products are correctly counted.
Assist on the dock scanning boxes for truck lane and work on FedEx Lane processing through the FedEx app.
Assist in covering for lunch/breaks for dock staff.
May be required to assist the packing team or other departments in the building with picking and put away.
Ensures outbound shipments are complete and free of damage.
Completes all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion using computer skills.
Ensures that the work area is clean, tidy, and organized.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety and in accordance with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Participate in daily meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$43,700.00 - $72,800.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
