Summary (Major Purpose of the Role):
The Distribution Planning Analyst is responsible for managing inventory levels at a Distribution Center to meet the service levels required for the products and customers served by that location. This role involves extensive analytics to balance current inventory, inbound supply, and transfer inventory from hub storage locations, while considering both forecasted and firm customer demand. The Analyst is also responsible for maintaining established reports and KPIs, as well as reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
In addition, this position requires significant cross-functional collaboration with various teams during both the planning and execution phases. The Analyst serves as the primary Supply Chain point of contact for providing service level updates to internal Commercial team counterparts, through routine communications and on an ad-hoc basis. Finally, the role involves leading, participating in, and contributing to Supply Chain development projects aimed at improving processes, tools, and overall performance.
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
Analyze and take appropriate actions to ensure target inventory levels are met, balancing inbound and outbound supply to achieve required service levels.Develop, maintain, and distribute KPIs and reports.Communicate the current inventory status and collaborate closely with the Commercial team to meet customer needs.Plan and execute product transfers across the Distribution Center network.Manage relevant master data and maintain overall data integrity for key Distribution Planning drivers.Manage service levels, coordinating actions and communication to improve performance.Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing the overall supply chain.Additional responsibilities as required

Experience working with SAP or similar ERP/MRP systems.
Solid understanding of Supply Chain concepts.
Reporting Relationships and Supervision:
Reports directly to the Manager, Distribution Planning.Works with minimal supervision.Partners with the Sr. Analyst, Distribution Planning for additional supervision, assistance, and training.
Education and Experience:

Actual salaries may vary depending on factors such as the applicant’s experience, specialization, education, as well as the company’s requirements.
