Job Summary
The Distribution Specialist is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain Department by performing supply chain activities, including Inventory Management, Price Management, Distributor Relations, Vendor Relations, and Product Opportunities.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
Inventory Management: Manage and analyze the inventory requirements for all OPCOs, including introducing new items, product conversions, LTO items and discontinued items.
Contract Management: Manage and maintain current deviated contract price files for all food and non-food items in all distribution centers. Facilitate communication with distributor and suppliers monthly to ensure contract compliance. Maintain contract price data in ArrowStream, perform price verification for distributor invoicing against contract price, validate credits, approved substitutions.
Distributor Management: Evaluate distributors for all service level issues, resolve disputes and communicate to stores, franchisees and field leaders as required. Evaluate daily inventory, monthly usage, and business review reports.
Data Management: Obtain and analyze Distributor daily inventory stock status reports for items at risk of being out of stock. Evaluate service levels from Distributor OPCOs monthly usage and business review reports. Manage ArrowStream data feed from distributor and monitor distributor inventory levels for potential pitfalls, trouble shoot, and resolve.
Cost opportunities: Coordinate with Keke’s team to identify alternative products with potential cost savings. Perform price analysis for potential cost saving opportunities, perform yield/conversions as needed, evaluate usage to calculate system Café cost impacts.
Cafe new openings, closings, and transitions: Accumulate and evaluate applicable distributors & contact information for new owners, add to ArrowStream Central for future tracking.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Supply Chain, Distributor Management, Customer Service.
Inventory management experience a plus.
Knowledge of customer service
Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex situations and make sound judgement for problem resolution.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Ability to build collaborative relationships and teamwork with cross functional teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to support multiple customers
Proven, demonstrated, sound decision making ability
Strong analytical ability
Computer proficiency: Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
