Distribution Supervisor
**Job Description Summary** This position directs and coordinates activities of the Global Distribution Center’s associates and all operations related to the receipt, storage, and distribution of product. **Job Description** We are **the makers of possible** BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies in the world. Become a **maker of possible** with us. **Responsibilities:** + Ensures timely and accurate shipments of orders by running assigned business area efficiently, effectively, and safely. + Effectively utilizes and ensures compliance with BD’s inventory control and warehouse management systems. + Leverages metrics and analytics to report on progress (i.e., cost per case/line shipped, site budgeted distribution center expense as a percent of sales, inventory, etc.) + Work with internal Business Unit clients to ensure alignment in meeting customer expectations. + Ensures departmental procedures, SOPs, and work instructions are updated and training provided to associates as required. Ensures all associates follow C2C training guidelines. + Plans work schedules and assigns duties to maintain adequate staffing levels; ensures activities are performed effectively and manages fluctuating workloads. + Recommends or initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures; resolves personnel problems and complaints or refers them to higher-level management for resolution. + Conducts staff meetings to relay general information or to address specific topics such as safety, quality, policy changes, etc. + Responsible for following and monitoring/correcting associates in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in the SOP’s and work instructions. + Ensures safety first environment and adherence to proper operating practices and procedures designed to prevent injuries and illnesses. + Must be able to work a flexible shift and weekends as business requirements dictate. **Minimum Requirement:** + Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
