If you are a Warehousing and Distribution professional looking for an exciting opportunity to grow and develop professionally, Emerson Systems and Software has the perfect opportunity for you! Based in Knoxville, TN, you will be accountable for day-to-day operation of hardware distribution operations, including order processing, incoming goods, and inventory management. You will lead a team of ~5-6 employees and will ensure they are trained to successfully perform their job duties.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Provide direct daily supervision and scheduling of department employees to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of the fulfillment center. Ensure all orders incoming and outgoing are correct and carried out to meet customer requirements and Emerson company policies. Tour facility regularly to answer questions, evaluate operations, and tackle problems. Encourage ethical behavior in all employees through leadership by example. Interact with other departments and employees to achieve goals. Attend and conduct all required meetings. Ensure that all records and reports regarding fulfillment center activities are prepared on a timely basis and optimally maintained. Review pertinent metrics to monitor achievement and offer solutions to the WW Supply Chain Reliability Solutions Manager to improve/maintain metrics. Promote and cultivate atmosphere of quality and process improvement in all physical and mental tasks for departmental employees. Monitor, write and review all work instructions and quality procedures for distribution department. Review fulfillment center operations to ensure daily housekeeping duties are accomplished with focus on neatness and organization to prevent damages to product, equipment, and the facility. Emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, providing work direction to ~6 direct employee, performance reviews; and addressing performance goals. Ensure proper stock location in warehouse system. Monitor and ensure all assigned inventory is accurately stored to improve longevity and shelf life. Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts as required to maintain high levels of inventory record accuracy.Who You Are:

For This Role, You Will Need:
High School diploma or GED. A minimum of 3 years supply chain / distribution/ operations or related experience. Previous supervisor leadership experience. Proficient in Microsoft office tools. Excellent skills in leadership, organization, and communication. Experience in hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance. Understanding of warehousing and distribution operations. Strong problem-solving skills to address distribution challenges. Experience in conducting regular cycle counts and audit to ensure inventory accuracy. Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods (at least two hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day). Able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Able to shift priorities easily. A methodical and structured approach to work. Capable of efficiently organizing tasks and workflows. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related subject area. A minimum of 5 years of related supervisor experience in hardware distribution or related industries. Prior experience in a distribution center is advantageous.#LI-CB3
