BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
 
The primary purpose of the position as a Distribution Technician is to perform the manual delivery and inventory of equipment. The assigned duties must be completed in an efficient manner to assure that a successful, viable department is maintained at all times. To assume responsibility and accountability for accuracy of procedures performed.
 
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/COGNITIVE JOB FUNCTIONS
 
Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Delivers medical oxygen to clients in their homes Truck is loaded in a safe manner with maximum use of bed space. Maintains accurate log of oxygen lot numbers. All tanks are secured in racks. Delivers oxygen according to client ticket. Ticket is completed and signed by customer/family and or caregiver. Instructs customer/caregiver on use of oxygen and gives written instructions. Plan of Care and Home Safety Assessment is completed. Delivers medical equipment and supplies to customer in their homes. Delivery schedules are processed prior to deliveries. Truck is loaded in a safe manner with clean/dirty areas designated. Delivers equipment according to client ticket/and adjusts accordingly. Information included in folder is explained. Plan of Care and Home Safety Assessment completed. Equipment Pick-up in customer's home. All equipment from an infectious process is to be cleaned at curbside and placed in a biohazard bag. All equipment is placed in dirty area on truck and tagged. All disposable supplies remain in the client's home. Dirty equipment is unloaded at the dirty area of the warehouse. Prompt and regular attendance at assigned facility/area of assignment. Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 70 lbs. Ability to walk, push, climb, stoop, bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach Ability to receive, understand, and implement direction from supervision and management. Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and other professional documents. Ability to safety operate motor vehicles for extended periods of time Ability to effectively function within the framework of department and organizational policies and procedures Other duties as assigned by the Director or designee EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
 
Minimum Education/Experience High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with less than 4 points

JOB LOCATION AND SCHEDULING Varied locations and hours as required by the job (generally scheduled for 8-hour shifts). Will be scheduled every other weekend at a minimum. May be assigned to work on-call Subject to frequent interruptions and changes in priority of duties throughout the day. Sitting/standing/moving about during working hours
