District Food Safety Manager - Kansas City District
Job Description

Aramark is currently seeking a District Food Safety Manager to support our Sports & Entertainment accounts within the Kansas City district. The District Safety Manager will coordinate efforts targeting a holistic and strategic approach to assist the organization with implementation of safety and risk control programs, processes, and procedures to protect people, property, environment and company assets. This role will also function as a key point of contact for addressing operational needs as they relate to occupational safety, food safety & sanitation, and environmental compliance, employee training and support execution of all Aramark safety process & procedures. Training and coaching of location management teams and staff is a main function within this role. This position will potentially require some travel to other accounts within the United States and Canada to support operations or large-scale events. 

Job Responsibilities Coach, train, and lead Operations Management and hourly staff to effectively execute Aramark, state, and federal safety standards and requirementsEnsure the location has the current Aramark safety standards and procedure documentation in placeWork closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Control, Aramark District Manager, General Managers, and Clients to review, implement and enforce Aramark's SAFE CommitmentCoordinate and Support District Safety Meetings and Committee StructureMaintain working relationships with local and regional compliance and regulatory authoritiesAccompany Public Health Department/Regulatory Inspectors during on-site inspectionsRespond to regulatory non-compliance and mitigate or limit any future inspection violationsEffectively manage internal and external corrective action processes to comply with regulatory requirements to identify cause, address problems, restore control, evaluate and monitor processes, modify procedures, improve overall safety system approach, and prevent recurrencesSupport various special events across Aramark Sports & Entertainment locations throughout the Kansas City district and ensure highest levels of Guest Service and Quality ControlQualifications Bachelor's degree in safety & health, business administration, or public health preferred, or equivalent work experience required2+ years of food and/or occupational safety experience requiredPrevious occupational, food, and/or culinary experience in a high-volume venue or health / regulatory department preferredPrevious leadership and training experience requiredExcellent communication, organizational, coaching/mentoring, and negotiating skills requiredCertified ServSafe Trainer is preferred or ability to obtain training certification within first 6 months of employmentFlexibility to work within a dynamic work environment and a matrix style reporting structureComputer essentials: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Requires ability to stand for extended periods of time and extensive walking throughout large stadiums, arenas, and convention centers for the duration of the scheduled eventsRequires availability to work event-based hours including evening, weekend, and potentially holiday hoursRequires ability to legally travel regularly to support our Sports & Entertainment account locations within the Kansas City district. May require some additional travel to Aramark account locations throughout the U.S. and Canada as needed
