Job Description:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience.

Work Experiences:

Minimum eight years related work experienceMulti Unit leadership experience in retail or related industry

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Regional Vice President, the District Manager oversees the operation of a given number of stores within a specified area and provides strategic direction to a team of Store Directors who act as the primary support in his/her designated store.Inspires, leads and manages a district team by setting clear expectations and drives key performance indicators while creating a culture that focuses on customers and team members.Things strategically to identify trends and implement action plans to improve key performance indicatorsCoaches and empowers store leaders to deliver on company goals and priorities.Provides constructive and actionable feedback to members of the team while mentoring and motivating othersConducts high impact store visits on a regular basis and conducts in depth store walksBuilds an engaged workforce through teaching, coaching and development.Provides regular performance-based feedback to team membersSupports all Company rollouts and ensures implementationEnsures short-term and long-term succession planning is in place and executed through leadership and management development to establish bench strength within the District.Prepares and oversees budgets for the District and is responsible for the execution of the plan through P&L analysis while meeting District and Company goalsMonitors cash flow, inventory controls, and overall profitability of assigned storesCompares prices, packaging, physical characteristics, styles of merchandise, and store operations of competitors on a regular basisEnsures assigned District complies with all governmental rules/regulations and established company policies, procedures, and standardsInspects premises of assigned stores to ensure that adequate security exists and that physical facilities comply with safety and environmental codes and ordinancesProvides guidance regarding special circumstances, including inclement weather and security threatsMaintains a safe, productive environment for team members and customers.Duties may change and team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements & Attendance:

Local and overnight travel by ground and/or airAbility to drive a motor vehicle and travel to stores 80-90% of the timeAcceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job dutiesAdhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
