New employees will begin on Step A ($5,429.39), Step B ($5,700.86) with 18 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience or up to Step C ($5,985.91) with 36 months of verified, paid, full-time equivalent related job experience. For purposes of salary placement, 7.5 semester units (or equivalent quarter units) of directly related coursework from a regularly accredited institution will be equivalent to one (1) year of job experience. Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the CBA . This position is FLSA Non-exempt (may accrue overtime). Desired Qualifications Minimum Experience and Skills: + Proficiency with Entra, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune Administrator, and M365/O365. + Experience with fiber and copper cabling. + Ability to monitor systems, provide maintenance, and troubleshoot issues. + Knowledge of the ITIL framework. + Familiarity with safety regulations involving computers, IDFs, UPS , and electrical equipment. + Experience in installation and maintenance for Windows and macOS. + Ability to assemble, maintain, and perform minor repairs on computer equipment and peripherals. + Superior troubleshooting skills. + Creative problem-solving abilities. + Knowledge of systems administration automation. + Demonstrated competence in the field of computers. + Ensure the care and security of assigned equipment, materials, and supplies. + Ability to issue, receive, and inventory equipment and supplies. + Maintain computer imaging. + Provide IT support to assigned campus(es) via a ticketing system. + Support for PCs and laptops at assigned campus(es). + Ability to collaborate and coordinate with other departments at the campus(es). + Ability to relate effectively with people from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. + Must work efficiently and cooperatively with others; strong interpersonal skills are important. + Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. + Effective communication skills, both oral and written. + Ability to train and provide work direction to others. + Understand and follow oral and written directions. + Ability to work independently with little direction. + Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: + Design, maintain, and install routers, switches, local area networks ( LAN ), and wireless LAN . Education and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree preferred or an Associate Degree in a computer related discipline. + A minimum of two years experience in systems administration, preferably in higher education.
