QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a New York State certification as a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Teacher of the Speech and Language Disabled. New York State Licensure and Registration as a Speech-Language Pathologist and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence as preferred. DUTIES: The duties of the District Screening team include but are not limited to: + Screen all New Entrants to the District + Complete individual profile sheets and class profile sheets for each District building. + Share results with Building Administration, CSE Chairperson, Classroom Teacher, and Related Service Personnel where appropriate. + Indicate in a District database which students have been screened. + Perform assigned duties as deemed necessary APPOINTMENT: Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials, and evaluation of service.
