The District Supervisor will do the following: Staff Management and Supervision: · Hire, train, and oversee janitorial staff. · Schedule work shifts and ensure adequate staffing levels. · Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback. · Address employee grievances and disciplinary actions. Quality Control and Inspection: · Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness standards are met. · Implement and monitor quality control programs. · Address and resolve customer complaints regarding cleanliness. Inventory and Supplies Management: · Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. · Order supplies and manage budgets for cleaning materials. · Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning chemicals. Health and Safety Compliance: · Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. · Train staff on the proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals. · Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures. Operational Planning and Coordination: · Develop and implement cleaning schedules and plans for each facility. · Coordinate with other departments for special cleaning projects and events. · Ensure efficient use of resources and time management. Reporting and Documentation: · Maintain records of cleaning activities, inspections, and incidents. · Prepare reports on staff performance, supply usage, and budget adherence. · Document and report maintenance and repair needs of cleaning equipment. Customer Service: · Maintain good relationships with facility managers and clients. · Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations. · Ensure client satisfaction with janitorial services provided. Training and Development: · Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff. · Stay updated on industry best practices and new cleaning technologies. · Implement training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development. Budget Management: · Develop and manage the janitorial department’s budget. · Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures. · Ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date. · Sustainability Initiatives: · Promote environmentally friendly cleaning practices. · Implement recycling and waste reduction programs. · Ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Equipment Maintenance: · Oversee the maintenance and repair of cleaning equipment. · Ensure regular servicing and preventive maintenance schedules are followed. · Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs as needed. Emergency Response: · Develop and implement emergency response plans for cleaning and sanitation. · Coordinate cleanup efforts in case of accidents, spills, or other emergencies. · Ensure staff are trained in emergency procedures.
