Our Magnet Technology factory in Eynsham, Oxford, is at the forefront of manufacturing high-tech medical imaging equipment used by healthcare professionals worldwide, and as we plan for our move to our new factory, we are keen to build on our DE&I commitments for the future.
This 12 month internship placement will provide you with the chance to support and shape our Diversity Equity and Inclusion initiatives at Magnet Technology, benchmarking best practices and developing and supporting education and training initiatives and events. We are looking for students who want to take on real responsibility during their year in industry, and who want to take advantage of a structured Intern Development Programme.
Your role:
You will research and benchmark best in class DE&I approaches from in and outside Siemens Healthineers to that align with our Great Place to Work Strategic themeYou will collaborate with the Learning & Development team to develop and support education and training initiatives to support the personal, professional and leadership skills of our employeesYou will maintain processes to monitor business participation within the DE&I space and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvementYou will drive, develop and support various DE&I events as per the Magnet Technology roadmapYou will drive and support projects surrounding ‘New Facility Readiness’ and our ‘Future Vision’ in preparation our move to the New Facility You will support the business to drive up SHS Forum score
All of our Interns also participate in our 12 month Intern development programme teaching softer skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness alongside the role.
About you:
You will be an undergraduate student currently studying a towards a degree and completing a 12 month industrial placement or sandwich year as part of your degreeYou should have a passion for progressing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplaceYou will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy communicating with a variety of people and stakeholdersYou should have excellent presentation and administration skills, with good attention to detail, time management and task coordination skillsYou should have solid IT skills and some experience of data analysisYou will have a proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiativeYou must also have eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of this 12 month internship.
