A “Day in the Life" of a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Manager:
Lead and manage DEIB initiatives and project execution, collaborating across HR and other departments to implement strategies.
Develop project plans, timelines, and resources for short- and mid-term DEIB initiatives, ensuring progress is communicated to stakeholders.
Collect and analyze both quantitative and qualitative feedback to measure impact, identify trends, and optimize future DEIB efforts.
Act as a project manager for medium to large projects, overseeing portions of complex initiatives and ensuring alignment across teams.
Implement recurring DEIB processes, identify areas for improvement, and help design new HR programs and processes related to Diversity & Inclusion.
Coordinate with stakeholders to build an annual calendar of DEIB events, supporting internal events, workshops, and initiatives.
Manage DEIB budgets, invoices, SOWs, and contracts, tracking and reporting on budget usage.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in behavioral studies, Human Resources, or related field preferred, or equivalent education and work experience.
2+ years of experience in DEI, HR, or program management with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Strong program and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Proven success in exceeding diversity and inclusion-related commitments, goals, and objectives.
Ability to distill complex concepts into simple, relevant, and executable strategies that drive results.
Demonstrated success in using data and insights to develop and evolve DEI strategies and programs.
