**Responsibilities**
The Department of Medicine in **Rochester, Minnesota** is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the next **Chair of the Division of General Internal Medicine** . Our goal is to appoint this leader by the end of Q1 2025. The ideal candidate will advance the division in line with our Department's vision of seamless workflows, deeper connections, empowered cures, and driven teamwork.

The Chair of the GIM division will partner closely with the Department of Medicine Chair, administrative partners, and other divisional and departmental leaders to define and achieve the division's overall mission and strategic goals. The GIM division chair will provide strategic direction across Mayo's three shields to facilitate growth in research, education, and innovation within the division. The ability to mentor a diverse group of faculty at all levels of experience is key.
Candidates must have a demonstrable track record of accomplishments in innovation in research and/or clinical practice systems. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated leadership capabilities and hold an academic rank of associate professor or professor.
Qualified candidates should submit a current curriculum vitae and a one-page letter of intent. The letter should outline their vision for the division in alignment with our vision and Bold. Forward. goals, and describe their readiness for this pivotal leadership role.

**Compensation Detail**
The minimum starting salary for medical specialties may range from $194,250 to $616,000. This range reflects full-time total base compensation prior to consideration of additional experience or duties. Pay for the selected candidate will vary based on specialty, experience, FTE, internal equity, or external market data.
