This position oversees a dynamic division that includes Contracts, Facility Engineering, Information Systems, Asset Management, SCADA and support functions for the Facility Operations Department. Working closely with the Division Directors of Operations and Maintenance, this role will play a crucial part in optimizing the management and performance of our facilities. Key Responsibilities: + Leadership: Manage support functions across two water production facilities (98 MGD and 150 MGD), three water reclamation facilities (60 MGD, 22 MGD, and 16 MGD), nine booster pump and tank locations, and 204 pump stations. + Team and Contractor Management: Supervise a team of approximately 38 employees, along with many consultants and contractors. + Facility Operations and Maintenance Support: Collaborate closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to address facility needs, working in a client-relationship model. + Contracts: Ensure contracts are in place to support the operational and maintenance needs of Facility Operations. Also, oversee utilization of annual contracts to support the repair and rehabilitation of facilities and processes. + Facility Engineering: Oversee ongoing repair, rehabilitation, and upgrade projects by coordinating internal staff and external consultants and contractors. Play a key role in developing the Capital Improvement Program and implementing rehabilitation and repair efforts. Ensure that plant engineers manage risk, optimize performance, and align operations with a 5-year rehabilitation financial plan. + Asset Management: Lead the continued implementation of the Asset Performance and Reliability Management Program (ARPM), managing 41,000+ assets across the organization. Use criticality-guided decision-making to drive risk-based asset management, ensuring effective operation, maintenance, and replacement strategies. + Information Systems: Support and enhance information systems that drive daily decision-making and reporting for the Operations and Maintenance teams. Focus on improving mobility, data analytics, and system integration to increase workforce efficiency and productivity. + SCADA System Management: Ensure the security, scalability, and flexibility of the SCADA network. Mitigate risks related to undocumented changes, obsolescence, and operator confusion while enabling data-driven innovation and situational awareness. • + Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and present reports on projects, budgets, and personnel. Collaborate with facility operations teams to ensure compliance with permits and promote a safe, world-class working environment. This is a unique opportunity to lead critical infrastructure operations, contribute to long-term asset sustainability, and drive transformative improvements in one of the largest water facilities in the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, project management, and technical expertise in facility engineering. Experience with large-scale water production and reclamation facilities, as well as a track record of successfully implementing asset management and information system improvements, will be essential for success in this role.
