Division Director of Clinical Microbiology
CLEVELAND, OHIO (USA). The Department of Pathology at The MetroHealth System, a teaching affiliate of Case Western University School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time Clinical Microbiologist with fellowship training or at least five years' experience. In addition to serving as the medical director of clinical microbiology (including molecular microbiology and virology), candidates must be willing to provide cross coverage in another area of pathology (e.g. Transfusion Medicine or Surgical Pathology). Participation in resident and medical student teaching and contribution to clinical or translational research are expected.

This position comes with a faculty appointment at Case Western Reserve University, at a rank commensurate with experience. Compensation is competitive with an excellent benefits package.

Qualified applicants should hold either an MD (or DO) or a PhD degree, or both. MD candidates should be board certified in AP/CP or CP by the American Board of Pathology (ABP) and should have successfully completed a medical microbiology fellowship with board certification in medical microbiology subspecialty by the ABP. PhD candidates should have completed a clinical microbiology fellowship and be certified by the American Board of Medical Microbiology.
